Large early three-wing baroque castle for sale in the town of Cítoliby in the Ústecký kraj region in North Bohemia. It is a protected cultural monument.

Cítoliby is an extremely interesting village and is situated in a gentle hilly landscape only 2 km from Louny. The chateau building forms an interesting structural unit with the church. With its main facade and axially arranged entrance, the chateau faces the western entrance facade of the church. The connection between the two buildings is further emphasized by the Trinity Column in the center. The elevated position of the southwest corner of the small Tyrš Square gives the historic building a naturally dominant position.

The main entrance leads into the arcaded courtyard of the chateau. On both sides you enter the opposite wings. Monumental staircases connect the individual floors and on each floor corridors from the courtyard side connect the living areas. From the ballroom with baroque fireplace in the left wing, a stone garden bridge leads to the terrace garden. The palace has a cellar.

On the site of today's early Baroque castle there was a fortress between 1543 and 1562. It was probably built as an annex to an even older noble residence, which possibly interfered with the massive structure of the later castle, causing some irregularities in the composition of the basement under the north wing.

The actual predecessor of the present chateau was the Renaissance chateau (the original fortress rebuilt in the Renaissance style at the end of the 16th century). Only a part of the cellars from different construction phases under the north and south wings of the castle have been preserved from this oldest construction phase.

It was not until the early Baroque reconstruction under the direction of the architect Giovanni Domenico Orsi that the present layout of the castle was established. Around the middle of the 18th century, the fourth wing, which had previously enclosed the courtyard, was demolished. The north and south facades are each highlighted by a single bay window, while the east facade is crowned by a rectangular pediment with lateral volutes, flanked by a triangular annex.

All facades are divided by ribbon cornices and rectangular windows. Behind the rusticated portal with rococo vases in the east wing there is an arched passage. The first floor of the courtyard side of the entrance wing opens to the courtyard through arcades, on the second floor the arcades are covered with rectangular windows. Inside there are numerous representative rooms and halls decorated with stucco, illusion painting and frescoes. Some of the frescoes were repainted in 1956. On the southern side of the chateau there is a partially preserved park.

The garden, enclosed by a wall, is accessible from the ballroom on the second floor of the side wing. In the garden, original stone terraces and a semicircular stone staircase are preserved, which is embedded in one of the terraces at the top.

The Cítoliby Castle is a valuable example of a Baroque manor house and the local landmark building of the village.
