Lovers of Italian architecture also get their money's worth in Poland. For sale is a historic Tuscan-style villa in Wodzisław, north of Krakow, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (Holy Cross). Wodzisław and the surrounding area were owned by the Lanckoroński family from 1370 to 1945, who built several castles and palaces here. This particular mansion is the last preserved residence of the family in the region. There is conflicting information about the origins of the palace. Most historians believe that the building was erected at the beginning of the 17th century during the reign of Samuel Lanckoroński. Others date the construction to the 18th century.
The palace was built in the style of a Tuscan villa and the characteristic roof hood is an architectural relic of a defensive and residential tower. In the vicinity of the palace there are also preserved the remains of a park with beautiful maple and chestnut trees, as well as a part of the administrative and farm buildings that once belonged to the Brzezie estate. At the end of 1923, the estate became the property of Antoni Lanckoroński. In the interwar period, Antoni Lanckoroński used the palace in Brzeź as a kind of summer residence. Antoni Lanckoroński was the half-brother of Karolina Lanckorońska, who was known as a patron of the arts and a social activist, and who rendered outstanding services to Polish culture. They were the last representatives of the Lanckoroński family of the Zadora coat of arms. After 1945, the Lanckoroński estate was parceled out and a secondary school was established, which existed here until the 1970s, when it moved to a new building. The palace stood empty for many years and was bought by a descendant of the owners in 2005.

In 2015, a sewage system was laid from the street at a distance of 10-15 m (requires connection to possible tanks on the property), the electricity network (including electricity) runs through the property, but the building itself has been disconnected from the electricity network. The building and the surrounding park are registered in the regional register of monuments. In the future, the villa can be used as a private family residence or converted into a commercial or corporate property, e.g. a boutique hotel, restaurant or event venue.
This beautiful old house is located on the county road, 500 m from the slip road to the S7 Krakow-Warsaw. On the opposite side of the castle park is the Wodzisław Reservoir - a fish pond with an area of about 13 ha. The municipality is planning to develop and revitalize this area, which can certainly have a positive impact on the attractiveness of the region.
