Baroque and classicist four-wing castle complex of the Counts of Reuß younger line. After 1945, a home for the elderly was established in the castle, the traces of which are still visible on a large scale today. During this time, several reconstructions were carried out, among others, the chapel with a magnificent baroque ceiling was given a mezzanine floor. Nevertheless, the many years of nursing home use were certainly a blessing for the princely residence, which has more than 100 rooms, because the building fabric is in a decent condition overall today.In addition, typical door, wall and ceiling decorations have been preserved, especially in the classicist part of the complex. After many years of vacancy, the ensemble, which is characteristic of the locality, is now once again in the possession of its descendants and is to be renovated. The castle includes a large landscape park with other architectural attractions, including an orangery and various tea houses.
