Brzozowski-Palace in Warsaw

Ulica Bracka 20a, Warszawa

Well hidden by enclosing residential development: The palace in the backyard

If you walk through a courtyard entrance on the street Ulica Bracka in Warsaw at an inconspicuous spot, after a few meters through narrow alleys you reach a particularly charming place that not every tourist in Warsaw gets to see: Amid towering tenements and new buildings stands Warsaw's only backyard castle. It was originally built in 1882 for the Brzozowski family and reconstructed after World War II. Today, it is in need of overall renovation, but the upper floors contain desirable rental apartments: Living in a castle and in the middle of life!
