Bargen Palace - Pałac w Zbarzewie
Pałac w Zbarzewie 53a, Zbarzewo
Zbarzewo is a former manor village west of Leszno in the Polish Wielkopolska Voivodeship. The estate is located at the southeastern end of the village. Even today, numerous structures bear witness to the former size of the manor, which had an area of almost 700 hectares by the end of the 19th century.
The two-story manor house on a rectangular ground plan combines various styles of historicism and was built in 1902. The courtyard side has a representative design with portico, terrace and decorative gable. On the north side there is an additional terrace extension.
According to local information, the house was inhabited until the end of the 90s. The apartments had to be dissolved due to dilapidation. Many years ago (2008), the municipality tried to attract investors for the municipal property. At that time the manor house was already in a ruinous condition.
Inquiries about this property can be directed to the municipality in Włoszakowice. By the way, the area is wonderfully suitable for exploring numerous palaces and manor houses in Wielkopolska by bicycle. Anyone interested in such suggestions is welcome to leave a comment.
