Fixer upper manor: beautiful classicist palace in Greater Poland.
A palace-park complex located in Oporowo village, in Krzemieniewo commune, Leszno county, Wielkopolska voivodeship.
A palace of about 800 m² (to be renovated) and an outbuilding of about 200 m² (to be renovated) on a plot of almost 5 ha constituting a manor park.
The palace has a cellar and an attic.
The object is entered in the register of monuments.
The palace was erected at the beginning of the 19th century and expanded in 1906 by Roger Slawski, an architect, it is made of brick and plastered.
Initially the central part of the manor was built, later two-storey wings were added, giving the manor a palace character.
Inside, the staircase is well preserved.
On the wall of the staircase there is the Nałęcz Morawski coat of arms.
The outbuilding was inhabited a few years ago, hence the idea to quickly adapt it for living and in the next stage to renovate the palace.
On the plot there are also other utility and garage buildings, which could be used as a small stable, garage, etc.
The landscape park dates back to the mid-19th century, the main entrance to the park is through a well-preserved, magnificent gate.
In the 5 ha park there are magnificent specimens of old trees, walking alleys, and a stocked pond with ducks and other birds swimming in it.
By the pond there is a specimen of weeping willow, leaning towards the water.
Oporów has hosted many prominent people, in October 1831 Adam Mickiewicz was there.
This wonderful place and its climate gave inspiration for his wonderful works.
Maybe when he was in Paris in 1832, he missed Oporow and the wonderful moments he spent here, and that is why "Pan Tadeusz" was written?
