Country estates in Piedmont: Castello di Marene
The agricultural areas of Piedmont are home to numerous country estates and manor houses. If you go in search of them in the remote corners between Turin and Cuneo, you will also find charming examples of neo-Gothic architecture in Italy. Many of these estates have retained the charm of a typical Italian country estate and are now used for (argro)tourism. Others still want to be discovered and revived, such as the Castello di Moreno in Marene, built around 1850 for Count Carlo Amedeo Grosso.
