Inspired by the castles of Scotland, the palace in Zagórzany was considered one of the most representative residences and is an outstanding example of Neo-Gothic architecture in Lesser Poland. The four-winged complex with a courtyard was built in the first half of the 19th century for Poland's then Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Count Alexander Skrzyński.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the palace was remodeled and expanded. In the interwar period, it was ranked among the most valuable monuments of its kind in Poland, alongside Kórnik Castle in Greater Poland.

The three-story main building, with its distinctive square layout and inner courtyard, is currently in a partially restored state. Since 2008, regular renovation work has been carried out. The re-roofing of the palace (it was given a roof made of Swedish steel sheets) laid the essential foundation for further restoration work.

In addition, sewer connections were installed, parts of the walls were reconstructed, some rooms were restored, and modern technical installations such as a transformer station and a deep well were set up. A complete revitalization project for the palace and park ensemble is available. The palace covers about 2,620 m² (built on 1,234 m²).

As a unique monument, the Skrzyński Palace offers an excellent real estate development opportunity in the tourism, commercial or medical sectors.

The private landscaped park, dating back to the 13th century, covers an area of 14 hectares, including a 0.9-hectare pond.

Other noteworthy structures include a guardhouse and a representative entrance gate with a wayside shrine. The property is fully enclosed.

The entire complex is listed in the national heritage register.
