Villa Gina is a magnificent historic villa, originally built in 1766 by an aristocratic Austrian family and named after its owner, Gina. In the 20th century, the villa became the property of the family of the renowned Italian artist Baldassare Longoni, whose paintings continue to grace the villa’s walls. The town’s main street is named in his honour.

In 2011, Villa Gina underwent a comprehensive renovation by its current owners. The property retains numerous precious details, including intricate stucco work, handmade floor tiles, frescoed walls, bespoke wallpaper, silk fabrics, and marble. It is further enhanced by authentic works of art, such as paintings by Italian artists, silk tapestries, antique furniture, and Murano glass chandeliers.

ARCHITECTURAL SPLENDOUR

The villa spans three floors, plus a garden level, and features large windows offering stunning views of the lake and mountains. The ground floor comprises an impressive entrance hall, an elegant living room with a fireplace and access to a magnificent 30 sqm terrace overlooking Lake Como, a second living room with access to a spacious terrace, a kitchen with a breakfast area and an antique fireplace, as well as a bathroom with a shower. The second and third floors accommodate three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dressing room, a winter garden with large windows, and a spacious terrace with spectacular views. The garden level includes laundry facilities, storage rooms, utility rooms, and a greenhouse.

Villa Gina is surrounded by a lush and enchanting garden of approximately 2,000 sqm, featuring rare century-old trees, abundant flowering plants, two antique fountains, and sculptures dating back to the 18th century.

LOCATION

Located in Dizzasco, within the renowned Intelvi Valley that connects Lake Como and Lake Lugano, the villa is just a few kilometres from the well-known lakeside town of Argegno on Lake Como. Villa Gina offers a high degree of privacy while being within walking distance of a local bar, a traditional restaurant, and other amenities. The area is a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers, and both the Lanzo Golf Club and the small ski resort of Monte Sighignola are just 10 and 17 km away, respectively.
