A restoration-worthy chateau from the early 17th century, boasting high-quality architecture with an imposing central staircase and magnificent historic details.

Located near Loudun, in the Vienne department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the property spans 26 hectares of unrestricted land.

At the edge of a village, majestic entrance pillars greet you. At the end of the avenue stands the chateau, with its splendid facade from the early 17th century, symmetrically flanked by two dependent wings in large limestone masonry.

The chateau is flanked by two pavilions adorned with rustication and edges. A large central pavilion, serving as a staircase hall and crowned by a dome roof, represents a characteristic main building of the 17th century, surmounted by a semi-circular gable. Six dormer windows with triangular gables and two dormer windows with semi-circular gables complete the picture.

On the garden side, the architecture is similar, with a striking central structure between two projecting pavilions. The central projection is adorned with a remarkable monumental portico with fluted columns. A large gable, adorned with the alliance coat of arms, adorns the portico, while a balustrade decorates the attic. Here, there are also six dormer windows with triangular gables and two dormer windows with semi-circular gables, as well as a pavilion that has preserved its original condition.

Inside, a magnificent staircase from the 17th and 19th centuries winds around a central core and half landings. The decoration includes pilasters, mascarons, balusters adorned with acanthus leaves, and a 19th-century floor with coffered patterns. To the right is a dining room with 19th-century wood paneling, chevron wood flooring, kitchen, and back kitchen with wood central heating. To the left is a large living room redecorated in the 19th century, with a coffered ceiling adorned with coats of arms from the 19th century and a Louis XIV-style fireplace.

On the first floor, accessed via the magnificent staircase, there are four bedrooms on the left, including one with a splendid alcove from the 18th century, adorned with a wall mirror, fireplace, and woodwork. To the right are three bedrooms, including one with beautiful 19th-century wallpaper.

The attic features an impressive roof structure, especially that of the staircase, as well as a large vaulted stone cellar.

In a dependent wing facing the courtyard, there is a large hunting room with a fireplace and staircase, as well as courtyards with beautiful arcades and stables.

The property spans 26 hectares, including 22 hectares of woodland, with about 200 beautiful oaks that urgently need to be felled. There are also 4 hectares of parkland and agricultural land, as well as a 19th-century tower in the park and terraced gardens.

A very large and beautiful oak avenue crosses the park. Drinking water is available.
